The Highway Man
The Highway Man
Situated on the roof of a building beside London’s A40 Westway road, this image shows a black and white stenciled graffiti of a man with a hat, long coat and white bandana riding a bucked horse carrying a paint roller. This Zorro style figure greets the thousands of cars entering London daily with hot pink splattered everywhere and the graffiti message "Live Fast. Drive Slow" on the backside.
Having never appeared in any official capacity on Banksy’s website or in any of his books, The Highwayman is a very rare Banksy. It is similar to one of Banksy’s in an exhibition in Bristol titled the ‘Lone Roller’.
